Lord Coe must resign

His impartiality and neutrality in relation to all the countries that will be involved in the London Olympic games of 2012 has been destroyed.
Last week, in Israel, at Haifa university, Lord Coe, the British Olympic champion and chairman of the organizing committee of the 2012 games in London, chastised efforts of a British professors' union to shun Israeli colleagues in protest at the illegal occupation of Palestine by Israel.
Coe said "The fact that I'm here at this time shows what I think about the academic boycott," during a panel discussion Wednesday at the University of Haifa, according to a release issued by the university.
This goes against the rules of the organizing committee which require it to …..
To ensure that no political demonstration or meeting is held in the Olympic City or its surroundings.
To meet the requirements of the mass media in order to offer the public the best possible information on the Games.
To organise cultural events that are an essential element of the celebration of the Olympic Games.
Coe’s statement makes it impossible for him to carry out the function of Chairman in a fair and unbiased way.
He must resign.
