The march was meeting at two points the IMC UK crew nominated the main station as our meeting point as the route was shorter and therefore kinder to our feet. Despite the weather reports it was cloudy but no rain.

It takes awhile to exit the station.

One is clear from the moment we arrived. This is going to be big. Very big. It’s takes nearly 20 minutes just to exit the station. A stage has been set up for speeches and music. Tens of thousands of people are getting organized into blocks for the demo. The Police are keeping their distance and there is a carnival atmosphere to the proceedings.

After two hours of preparation a diversity of activists from every corner of the movement are setting of on the G8 international demo which is big loud and very colourful.
