Robert Zoellick - wrong choice for the World Bank

pax hominibus | 31.05.2007 10:08

Bush has proposed Robert Zoellick as the new President of the World Bank.

As always with Bush candidates, it is the political connections, rather than merits, which dictate the choice.

Would you choose this guy to head the World Bank ?!

In 1998 he was a signatory to the Project for a New American Century (PNAC) letter to Bill Clinton, advocating war against Iraq. James Wolfowitz, current World Bank head, was also a signatory to this letter. As a pro-war neo-con he is no different from Wolfowitz...

He was a share-holder and consultant to Enron, the energy company which went bankrupt in 2002...

He was a key figure in the American WTO case against the EU which sought to impose GM crops and GM food on Europe...

So, certainly not the person to restore trust in the World Bank, nor to work as an advocate for the world's poor!

The name of the beast is PAUL `wolfie the werewolf` Wolfowitz

Your piece is interesting but you refer to `James` Wolfowitz - in fact the animal's name is PAUL Wolfowitz or `werewolfowitz`. His corruption in getting a promotion for his girlfriend is small beer compared with his part in promoting the attack on Iraq, which has caused the loss of at least 650,000 lives. If there was any justice he would go straight to prison along with Bush, Blair, Rumsfeld, Cheney et al. Sadly, he is likely to get a huge payoff and then go on the lucrative lecture like our beloved Fuhrer Tony Bliar. No justice, no peace.

We need a marksman with a silver bullet to take care of the werewolf!

Before Paul Wolfowitz there was James Wolfensohn at this post.

With Zoellick it is the third zionist jew in a row to head that institution.
