Communist Party of Greece-Bulletin of the political Bureau of the Central Committee of the CPG for immigrants.
Bulletin of the political Bureau of the Central Committee of the CPG
for immigrants.
The Communist Party of Greece sends message of struggle and solidarity
to the economic immigrants and calls them out to activate about the
problems immigrant families face.
We continue a long effort to which communists and class forces in the
labour movement contribute decisively to the struggle against racism
and xenophobia in conflict with the policy of the EU, New Democracy
and PASOK, which is against the people. We fight for legalization of
of immigrants, for the right in work, in education, in pension, in
health, in care, and for the democratic rights.
The CPG considers immigrants as an important part of the working class
and tries to strengthen the class unity between Greek and foreigner
workers. It is through unity and common fight that the struggle
against imperialism, against exploiters, against capital and its
parties, will be reinforced.
There are many problems. The policy of New Democracy and PASOK is to
be blamed for the denial of legalization and the long trouble of
immigrants in order to hold them in hostage and offer very cheap
working force to bussinessmen.
The policy of New Democracy and PASOK is responsible for the low
wages, uninsuranced work, intensification of work, working accidents ?
crimes that affect especially the foreign workers. The policy of New
Democracy and PASOK issues circulars with racist content and denies to
immigrants and their families the right in health prevention and
protection. (Circular 13/7/2000 which prohibits the hospital treatment
in public hospitals for the immigrants without legal papers. Circular
2/2/2005 with the same content).
This policy deprives from many immigrants? children the right in
education, does not take measures for learning the greek and their
native language, does not respect the cultural traditions, the customs
and rites of foreign workers. This policy strikes female immigrants
who face every day the most barbaric social and racial exploitation ?
oppression. They work, when they have a job, under miserable working
conditions, without social supplies, without medical supervision, even
in pregnancy, they are exposed to prostitution networks.
Capitalism is not the solution. The motive of capitalistic development
is the profit produced by the workers? labour. The bourgeois class and
the governments that serve their interests in all countries have
nothing to do with the working class advantages.
The imperialistic aggression is intensified, borns wars,
interventions, cultivates nationalism, racism and division in order to
exploit the peoples.
The policy of the EU is against workers, plans suppressive measures,
prepares even ?concentration camps? against immigrants.
Together with CPG and the class movement. Greek and immigrants
together can claim our rights and open the route for radical changes,
for the abolition of exploitation of people by people, for Socialism,
utilizing the rich positive experience, making conclusions from
faults, omisions and deviations that led to the overturn of the new
system and the predominance of counterrevolution.
Organisation into trade unions, into massive organisations, struggle
for every problem. It is through this way that our struggle will be
stronger and more effective. Together, with the class movement and
common action, the guidance, the state and employer terrorism can be
confronted.
The CPG will continue the efforts in order to claim decisively:
* Legalization of immigrants who live in Greece. Simplification of
the issue and renewal procedures of the stay and work licences.
Abolition of every economic charge and bureaucracy. Reunion of
families.
* Full ? stable work, equal rights of Greek and immigrants,
according to their needs.
