If carbon credits are worth $15 a ton in Europe then whats to stop this being open to carbon fraud?A giant steel maker or in the future an airline that has a quota can buy credits from other companies that want to sell.Whats to stop them buying off the shelf corporations and adding the carbon quota to their own. I might not have this right as i have only just stuck my nose in.But i smell an angle. They will continue to pollute but they will now be paid to do it.
