On the 7th of October 2006 a coalition of migrant groups, trade unions and social justice activists marched in London demanding equal rights for all, including the likes of Justice for Cleaners, RMT, Latin American Workers Assoc. and No Borders. We were joining many others across Europe and Africa in an international effort to co-ordinate struggles and put forward a collective call for the regularization of all migrants in the EU.

On Saturday 19/5/07 there will be a National Day of Action on Asylum Rights. No Borders Nottingham will be in the Market Square from 3.00pm with a stall and banners. Please come along to support us in raising public awareness about asylum issues. The last two demos in the Square, which have focussed on the situation faced by the Congolese, have been big, lively and uplifting and got a good reaction from the public. It would be great to have that sort of atmosphere again, where we celebrate the world we want to see as well as protesting about the one we have. All welcome... See you there!
