MOVE - Are they a progressive group

There is a thread at https://www.indymedia.org.uk/en/2007/05/370685.html about the fourthcoming British tour of an American group called MOVE. MOVE are preasented by the organizers of the tour as a revolutionary ecologist group, but various questions are being asked on the thread about there attitude to womyn which seems far from progressive. There is a womyn on the thread defending them, but the questions been asked arent answered. Does anybody know the truth about MOVE? Basically what are there politics? I have googled them and they don't come up as looking too good, some even say they are a religous cult, but maybe these sites are biased as MOVE are no freinds of the cops for sure.

I have been involved in eco-anarcho politics for 14 years and have come across MOVE lots, starting in the early-1990s when I got involved. I have met Ramona, who is coming over to do the talk, and I have absolutely no doubt that they are no compromise radical ecologists/green anarchists. I have not come across any homophobic, misoygnist literature or views from them at all.
I agree they have some pretty 'strange' views when you come from a western anarcho-activist scene, but then so would most tribal peoples views seem pretty odd too. As for being a cult, in what way would you call them a cult that couldn't be levelled at anarchists generally?
