B52 Two trial report -
Toby and Phil were arrested 4 years ago while on their way to disarm USAF B52 bombers, stationed at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire before the attack on Iraq in March 2003.
Toby and Phil were arrested 4 years ago while on their way to disarm USAF B52 bombers, stationed at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire before the attack on Iraq in March 2003.
The B52 Two were nonviolent and accountable, attempting to prevent the deaths of innocent Iraqis in an illegal war. They were careful to ensure that no harm would come to anyone from their intervention and were arrested for conspiracy.
Read more and get up to Bristol to see them if you can, the solidarity will be much appreciated. It is inspiring to be at this case and important in terms of proactive resistance to the war on Iraq and as an ongoing challenge to making the occupation and bloodshed cease.
Use of cluster bombs in Iraq was particularly frightening and terrorising now for local ordinary people who live and move about in particular areas, these residual bomblets remain undetonated and will ensure that USAF Fairford's legacy continues to be harmful for Iraqi's.
The first day saw prolific finger knitting of wool and hearts together in solidarity for these two men who yet again are in court to promote that what they did was very necessary to save lives and property in Iraq. Definiotions of property included water wroks, hospitals and other necessary establishments which make up the infrastructure.
