Leeds No Borders presents....Asylum Solidairty Day (and benefit evening)

The Common Place (Leeds city centre)

Saturday May 19th from 11am

All welcome, including children

It's an informal event - come along for all or part of the day or evening

DAYTIME

11-12 Anti-deportation campaign workshop with Emma Ginn (NCADC)
12-1 lunch in the cafe (low cost)
1-3 film, talk and discussion on how people become asylum seekers, the problems they face and the injustices of the UK imigration system
3-4.30 round table discussion for members/staff/volunteers of local organisations working with asylum seekers and asylum seekers themselves to discuss the situation in Leeds
4.30-6 talks including ESOL funding cuts and anti-deportation campaigns, and discussion

All day in the cafe - informal information/advice/chat space for asylum seekers

EVENING

6pm - international 'bring a dish' meal, bring vegetarian food to share

7pm til late - Leeds No Borders benefit night:
