BNP councillor's neighbour

This article, from Wednesday's Evening Post, shows what non-white families in BNP-friendly areas have to put up with. Every time these far-right fuckers get a foothold in an area, racist attacks increase. Sadie's sanctimonious words about spaeking to the police etc. make me sick, but fool no-one.

SRI LANKA FAMILY IS TARGETED BY YOBS
11:00 - 09 May 2007
A FAMILY have been pelted with stones and a brick thrown through their window in what they say could be racist attacks.

Mr W, 38, says he now has to drive his wife to and from her work in a nursing home and park away from his house.

His car has had its windows smashed as well.
Mr W. moved to the terraced property in Church Lane, Brinsley, with his wife in November.

Since then the couple, who have two daughters, have been targeted by yobs.

Mr W. was pelted with stones the week after he moved in, and in March his car was vandalised and his front door was smashed.

The thugs threw a brick through the bedroom window.

Next door neighbour Sadie Graham was elected on to Broxtowe Borough Council for the British National Party on Thursday. Mr W, a Buddhist, said: "We are peaceful. We don't want to fight. I heard England was good and the people very friendly before I came here.

"Most people are not so bad. The younger generations seem to be doing these things. We just want to live safely and quietly."

Asked why he thought the attacks happened, Mr W.
said: "Because we are outside people they don't like me. Because we are visitors we are newcomers, they never speak to us. Maybe they do it like this because we are black people, because we are not the same."

Coun Graham said she had checked up on the investigation. She said: "I spoke to the police and asked them if they know who it was and what action was being taken. I have worked in this ward for five years and there have never been racial attacks."

A spokesman for Notts Police said: "At the time of the initial investigation there was no indication to us that a hate crime had been committed.

"In light of the new information [from Mr W.] we will be reopening the investigation and treating it as such.

- In reality it is in light of the issue making local news that the the police are reopening the investigation, they would have been happy to ingore this if it hadn't gone to press, I mean - no indication of a hate crime? a BNP area, dark skinned family have brick thrown through window, for fucks sake!
