Oxford Students Stop the War Coalition Meeting - 10th May

(richarddirecttv) | 09.05.2007 23:02 | Anti-militarism | Iraq | Oxford

Where Next?
Thursday 10th May, 3rd Week
7.30pm
Saskatchewan Room, Exeter College

After successfully filling a coach with Oxford students for the Stop
the War demonstration in London last term, we hope that we can carry on
to build an active and enthusiastic group of students committed to the
campaign. As the civilian death toll in Iraq is estimated to have
reached 650 000 and continues to grow every day, we must not allow
situations like these to be swept under the carpet.

This Thursday we would like to discuss how to take this group
forward in the coming term and the coming year. We would like to
establish our aims and find a focus to put our energies towards, as well as
discuss how to build links with other groups, and find what tactics we consider
effective. We would especially like to encourage new people to get
involved, as we can do nothing but benefit from new ideas and fresh
perspectives!

The meeting will be an informal discussion, and we hope that we can
get as many points of view as possible, in order to build a group which
encourages participation at every level.
