UK majority favours 'pathway into citizenship' for illegal immigrants

"There is a humanitarian justification for this proposal. Many of those who stand to benefit, such as failed asylum-seekers, are destitute and homeless. They are afraid to come forward for help from the state because they would run the risk of being deported. Regularising their status would help them access accommodation and healthcare.

Would you care to present some evidence for this startling statement? AFAIK Britain is not some dictatorsip. You have regular elections a which you choose representatives. Do you think these people don't know the wishes of their constituencies?

Yes, from the demo we can see that lots of Britains favor the open door. But I would humbly suggest that LOTS more do not. Which is why you don't have an open door. Stop making excuses. ORGANIZE. If you think that it would be a good idea, get out there and convince your friends and neighbors. If/when you have convinced enough of your fellow Britains to want this thing it will come to pass.

Quite often they don't even live in them or visit them outside of elections, they certainly ignore their wishes for the most part. Do you think as a fairly right wing, obviously American poster your continual rebukes to UK posters on IM-UK should be taken seriously ? Where is your evidence ? And who the fuck are you anyway? Do introduce yourself. Puhlease.
