Campaign to Stop DSEI. WE WILL SHUT IT DOWN

Jamie | 01.05.2007 09:43

Some wanker from Indymedia hid this last time it was posted describing it as "disruptive". Well No Shit Sherlock ! Of course it's disruptive. That is the idea.

If Indymedia people want to support the 'official' DSEI protest and waste their time again thats up to them but don't block us who are going to shut the Death Fair down this year while you have your police sanctioned march.

We dont need an email or website because we are not interested in talking, we are interested in CLOSING DOWN DSEI - have you got it yet ?

Previous demos failed because the police joined the email lists and found out all they needed to know because it was sent to them. We are not doing that, we are asking a simple thing. TURN UP AND BLOCK THE DEATH FAIR.

We are a new group devoted to one action and one action only. The closure for all time of the DSEI Death Fair in London later this year.

During previous years there has been a lot of posturing, talking and marching. None of this has worked. Time was wasted making banners, posters and free newspapers, time that should have been spent closing it down.

Protests against the Death Fair have been ineffectual because the group doing the organising was too willing to work with Spearhead and Reed for "peaceful protesting". This we will not do.

Don't waste time making coloured signs or dressing up as clowns, if you want to play in a Samba band go somewhere else, don't have meetings telling others about what you did last time, don't try to organise us.

Our campaign has a simple and easy tactic. Force of numbers, we are asking for everyone to block every access to the Excel Centre, rail, road, air. There will be no meeting points, no agreed routes for a march, no working with the police. If you are not planning on coming ask yourself why, what is more important ?

Our call is a simple one, TURN UP AND GET IN THE WAY.
