Tuesday 1 May - International Workers' Day
STRIKE!
Fund Public Services not War
Support your fellow workers!

Gordon Brown has given the Ministry of Defence a blank cheque.
He has set aside billions to wage war while telling public sector workers to accept a wage freeze.

May Day has always been a day when working people on every continent celebrate solidarity, internationalism and the struggle for a better world.

This year there will be marches, parades, demonstrations and strikes by working people everywhere, from Occupied Iraq to the most powerful country in the world, the United States.

In Britain, hundreds of thousands of PCS members of the civil servants workers' union will be striking against job cuts that will devastate services and against privatisation and low pay. Many other trade unions will be joining the protest.

Show solidarity with fellow working people by joining the Cardiff protest:

The trade union movement has played a vital role in opposing war. Most major trade unions are affiliated to the Stop the War Coalition. In 2003, millions marched against the war. In some European countries this action was backed up by general strikes creating enough pressure to force government's not to commit troops to Iraq.

Rebuilding the trade union movement is vital to building the struggle against war.

Adam Johannes is collecting messages of solidarity to deliver to striking trade unionists - email messages of support asap to:  thomas_muntzer_cardiff@hotmail.co.uk
(include the name of your union if you a member of one).
