Today and tomorrow (26, 27th march) Nato is having an "informal meeting" to discuss war policies here in Oslo, Norway. The program of the meeting includes different issues, with a special focus on nato forthcoming missions in Afghanistan and Kosovo, and european missile defense program.
The city is partly blocked, by a great disposition of police force armed with handguns and mp5s and equipped with gas masks and teargas canisters. Most of the center is blocked to traffic, and especially the area around Oslo Spektrum, where the meeting will be held.
The norwegian state spent 72 millions kroners in securing the meeting.
Blitz ( www.blitz.no ), one of the most politically active social spaces has spread in the last days some posters inviting to a formal demonstration at 18:00 local time, that is gonna be followed, according to the posters, by an "informal" demonstration.
We are going to follow what is going to happen in the streets, making phone calls to people in the demo, and trying to give media support and updates about the situation.
