Chatham House ?

It is a well-written report - it is sad our bloody foriegn policy makes every other regime seem preferable. I do have to ask though, was this reposted by an IM reader or by Chatham House itself ? I wasn't familiar with that name but I did know it under its former name, the Royal Institute of International Affairs.

David Miller gives an excellent expose of British propaganda here:
The British Governments global fake news network David Miller, 15 February 2006

And he gives a watered down expose of British propaganda here:
The propaganda we pass off as news around the world
A British government-funded fake TV news service allows mild criticism of the US - all the better to support it David Miller Wednesday February 15, 2006

Notice the differences in the texts - for example "Often Chatham House, the establishment think tank, provides the venue for policy discussions" becomes "Often Chatham House provides the venue for policy discussions". Are the Guardian really so pressed for space that they have to edit to such a degree ? They do have to fit in a lot of car adverts I suppose.

Odd that Guardian readers aren't allowed to know the author considers Chatham House to be an establishment think tank. Could this expose of British propaganda actually be being used as propaganda ?

since you ask

no the establishment think tank did not post this on Indymedia. I doubt they put IMC on their press list.

I posted this link because it indicates a significant fact. Even an establishment think tank is saying what most people already know, and there is now open criticism of US actions from an institute close to Government.

So the story is not , 'they say this so it must be true' , but ' if even they are saying this, think how much more true it must be.'

Apologies for any misleading attribution.

I am not really Chatham House.

Ta. I will sleep more peacefully tonight, more than most Mogadishuans for sure. And so congrats on a great post then. I do have a suspicious mind, I am sure you appreciate why.
