Meeting report

The London women group against poverty held their first meeting Saturday night and the following resolutions were passed.

1. To maintain the group as a women only organisation

2. To identify the fight against poverty as the most important issue facing women in Britain today

3. To call upon the government to set a wage for mothers at £30 000 per year

4. To seek funding from like minded organisations

5. To elect a steering commitee (members to be announced)

6. To meet again in three months
