Part of what's holding back a guaranteed annual income is perception and language. The basic income could preserve people from abject poverty. All people should share in increased productivity. In Germany the GDP rose 300% from 1950-2000 with 20% fewer workers.

Fair Shares of Poverty

23.04.2007 08:00

"Guaranteed Income, Guaranteed Dignity: War on Poverty" needs a small nitpick. War on Poverty? What is needed is fair shares of Poverty. Poverty for Everyone!

The Rich are destroying Earth's ability to support Life. If the Governments will not prevent that by introducing a sufficiently progressive Tax on Wealth, it will not be long before the only meals available will be the Rich and the people they have hired to carry guns. Everyone else will be too thin to make a meal of.

When the e`Economy collapses, the Government will have very little money coming in from income tax . The only way they can then protect wealth is by directly taxing wealth. Governments should be preventing that appalling development.

The stupidity of sending a Nerd into space because he is a participant in a great Capitalist fraud - that Microsoft were better than DRDOS when the imperative for the survival of Humanity was the completion of the 'High Frontier' project , is almost unbelievabe. It may now be too late to start it in time to get a microcosm of EarthLife into a protected sustainable environment to restock Earth and continue the evolution of this Creation after the Rich induced Mass Extinction . Extinction is rapidly becoming inevitable. Check out the Mayan Calendar if you are at all Mystic. Hard nosed realists will look at the Methane coming out of melting permafrost. They may come to the same conclusion.
