"Spiders in the Bath is a hard-hitting story of a group of lads whose life on the dole makes them turn to a life of crime. As the youngsters progress from petty larceny to more serious crimes their story is set against a horrific gangland power struggle. Paul Breen started writing this book nearly 25 years ago and published it privately in 1993. Now reprinted, and commercially available for the first time this powerful story rings so true of life as so often protrayed in our local papers. It is compelling reading."
And he has good reviews from some famous footballers - anyone who can get a footballer to read should be awarded a literacy award. He has a link that says "The foreword the police didn't want you to read - take a trip down the plug hole to our offshore server to read the forword the police didn't want published." Except when you click on it it comes up : Error 403 The URL you requested has generated a "Forbidden" notice.
Do people outside the UK get the same notice or do they get to read the foreword ?
This prospective councillor wants the corrupt cops locking up. But only to negotiate with the gun thugs.Do we want to deal with gangsters?Maybe this is the only way.Maybe this is showing politics for what it realy is,no different than gangsters with guns, except one gets the other to do the dirty work.It will be interesting to see how this develops.Mr Breens pedigree seems a little tarnished by association from what i can find. His job as a bouncer at a notorious Liverpool club links him to the owner who employed him is associated with one of the names on his leaflet,ie Kevin Dooley, who sued private eye with said club owner and won.Only later for Mr Dooley to be struck off by the law society for using client funds. But as i have often heard said by the people of liverpool, "you'd get a better deal off the mafia".Maybe your up front square go guy is the better choice.
