Blue Room Brasserie stop selling foie gras

SAF | 15.04.2007 12:54 | Animal Liberation | Sheffield

The Blue Room Brasserie in Sheffield has declared that they've stopped selling foie gras, and the owner/head chef has signed a declaration promising not to reintroduce it in the future.

This is a great success for all of us who've braved chilly evenings outside
the restaurant on Chesterfield Road over the last six months. It's also a
real reminder of the power of legitimate, maintained protest and
pressure. We found the public response very encouraging, and also the
page-2 article in the Sheffield Star helped the campaign. A thousand thank
you's to all those who came out on any of the 20+ demos, or has helped in
other ways.

We will be swiftly moving on to the next establishment which we believe is
selling foie gras, details to follow soon. The campaign has some real wind
in its sails now, and we hope you'll feel enthused to get involved.

Gregor Samsa > "Well done! A reward for local activism!"

What do you mean a "reward"?

Are you taking the piss? Where you there? What did you do to help?
