Double standards and censorship

16.04.2007 02:52

The site you refer to is no more or less a "blog" than UK indymedia. The post is/was news at the time. Please explain how you determine the post was not news or that the post is "advertising" -- independent press groups would love to hear it!

I refer you all to the odd assortment of non-censored posts on your site and the OBVIOUS double standards you employ in your 'determinations'.

news or advert?

The fact that the entire content of the article reads:

Full story:
 http://cleaves.zapto.org/clv/newswire.php?story_id=470

indicates that the post is designed to advertise a post elsewhere, rather than to present news to readers of the indymedia uk newswire.

The editorial guidelines say:

Articles and/or comments may be hidden for the following reasons:

Advertising : posts with personal or product promotions.

and the link is just that.

Indymedia is not a 'blog' - its a newswire.
