To celebrate May Day, the Liverpool Social Centre Group are launching LARF, the Liverpool Alternative Radical Film Festival with a program of provocative and radical films.

Friday 27th April
7.30-9pm CONTROL ROOM
Lifting the lid on the Iraq War, a film the White House and pentagon tried
to ban.

9.30-11pm PUNISHMENT PARK
An exploration of military abuse through the eyes of an embedded film crew
accompanying soldiers escorting draft-dodgers and undesirables across the
desert.

Saturday 28th April
7.30pm-8.45 KANDAHAR
A story of life for women under the Taliban told through the search for one
lost girl.

9.15-9.30pm COPS
Buster Keaton is hilariously mistaken for an anarchist in this classic
silent short.

9.45-11.15pm THE YES MEN
Prankster activists impersonate the WTO with comic results.

Sunday April 29th
7.15-8.15pm LA TODA LA VIDA
The anarchist womens movement in the Spanish Civil War - surprising and
moving.

9-11pm THE EDUKATORS
German revolutionary activists undertake some radical re-edication of the
rich and powerful with unintended results.

All films will be shown at the Liverpool Social Centre, 96a Bold Street
(Liver House), Liverpool L1

Entry for each night is £3 waged, £2 unwaged with all funds going to the
Liverpool Social Centre Building Fund. Refreshments by donation will be
available.
