Get a job, loser !

I still get these job ad's through as on paper I am qualified, but I quickly get sifted.
Still, if anyone with a clean sheet fancies a job-interview at Rosyth - and I shouldn't have to explain why you would want to work for such a progressive employer, or even just the chance to get 'your foot in the door' - here is the skill set that should be on your CV. I'd be happy to give any of you hard-working exemplary young people a glowing reference.

Network Design and modelling
LAN and WAN
2nd /3rd level network diagnostics.
Network device configuration
Cisco qualified
VPN configuration
Firewall, DNS, DHCP
IP Telephony

Just search on "security cleared Network Technician / Technical analyst " + Fife . Or as they say in the Kingdom, it's a 'piece of piss'.

I note that Aldermaston are still recruiting too. Oh, and Qinetiq. It's a crying shame there aren't more career-motivated people looking for work among our ranks, as the jobs are out there if only we took the time to apply. If a job is worth doing...

"We need more computer hackers!"

Who does ? You know, the best geeks tend not to have many friends, and very little reason to boast, so you may have a lot more techies on your side than you think.

I used to be good. I was certainly paid well. I worked for the richest organisation ever. My last day there was spent trying to keep Dutch hackers removing Belgium from the internet. (Belgian hackers had done that to the Netherlands the previous year). And you know, for all my employers resources it was felt like I was the one left manning the barricades against the Mongol hoardes. It was just wave upon wave of attacks, they certainly didn't seem to be in the minority. I'd replace one device driver that was getting hacked and the OMS would report another intrusion. Eventually I just gave up and went home and Belgium got removed from the internet for the day, I never got a reference. Big deal.

Same job, different anectdote. My ex-fiance, who knew zip about computers, said one of her pals had claimed to have hacked a British military satellite and moved it around. I patiently explained, no, what they would have meant is they hacked the bandwidth of a satellite. Two weeks later I read on the security intranet that a ransom had been paid after a British military satellite dropped into a lower orbit. Shows what I know.

My point is you probably have all the hackers you need, you just don't know who they are. Ask in the right forums and you may receive. Of couse, being geeks and so a bit autistic, you have to ask very precisely and very politely.

Well, time is up on that role anyway and I've applied but I doubt you have. I mean, if you aren't just bumping your gums what agency did the recruitment ? John ? You never even took the time to check it out did ya ? Faker.
