Microsoft's Steve Ballmer to Speak at Oxford Students Union Next Week

Microsoft's Chief Executive Officer, Steve Ballmer takes time out from his busy schedule to talk to students and members of the public on the subject of technology and its effects on the modern media, and in turn politics.

Ballmer will also be talking about his experiences of University life at Havard and the decline in the number of people taking up Mathematics at degree level.

The speech starts at 7pm in the Oxford University Students Union and is approximately one hour long. There will also be time to ask the "eccentric" Mr Ballmer questions at the end.

Guests as well as students are both welcome.

I wonder if the "eccentric" Mr Ballmer will be willing to spill the beans on Microsoft's long and sordid history of exploitation, illegal and highly unethical business practices, exorbitant license fees and contractual lock-ins ... oh, and yes, Microsoft's "interesting" and largely undiscussed relationship with the US Dept of Homeland Security, the FBI, DoD, and DoJ, along with their equally interesting relationships with similar British echelons?

Do ya think he might take some questions around these issues? Really, do ya?

I don't think its a question of him answering these questions, more one of who will dare ask them with displays like this in front of an audience?
