Cold cold cold. One of the coldest days of the years without doubt yet a good group turned out last saturday to give Starbucks the welcome it deserved as it opened a new store in Whitechapel.

Locals enjoyed free tea and cake and discussed the dark deeds of Starbucks and their ilk before Food Not Bombs turned up with hot food and music. The police eventually waded in but the buscuits had all gone by then so they left empty handed.

pity 'bout plastic not growing on trees/composting

I know it's more hassle, but I guess you've heard of a few reasons why not to use plastic plates/forks and cups?!

i hope you horrible lot don't get any bright ideas like filling the locks with glue on a regular irregular basis and causing longterm economic damage to the branch that will eventually force it to close.

Cos that would be very naughty.
