A recent article brought home the shocking truth of today’s new world order by contrasting the social outrage expressed against Richard Nixon for his minor offence of a break and enter (Watergate) with today's social complacency in the face of half-a-million civilian dead in Iraq. The office of president of the USA has become an experimental position where corporate placed buffoons are allowed to reign ruin on the world. The “bouquet of flowers, mission accomplished, WMD, give war a chance”, administration has got it wrong from the start yet ‘bouquet’ Wolfowitz has been promoted to the president of the World Bank, where he continues to bungle and lose to other interests (China). The incompetent clown, Bush, remains president and the criminals who benefit remain behind the scenes profiting on the misery of others!
It is extremely easy to be distracted by the exploits of idiots and mass murderers in government. Outrageous and offensive events serve to distract from the real exploits of corporate criminals who could care less whether or not an entire population and the environment goes to rack and ruin providing they turn a profit! This mentality is not only criminal it is clearly pathological, as is evidenced in the world today BUT are the people outraged or offended as they once would have been? Obviously not, as the three coalition leaders remain in power – in the case of Howard for eleven long years! After years of Bush, Blair and Howard lies, the public remains unmoved by the horrendous reality of war crimes and unimaginable human suffering. Public paralysis and the death of conscience define the new world order today.
The invaders have made BILLIONS of dollars at the expense of the invaded nation; however, the world remains blissfully impervious to the misery of their fellow human beings and allows criminals to govern on their behalf. If indeed the masses tolerate the now openly known crimes of their leaders and are easily bribed by the wealth they enjoy at the expense of others then would it be surprising if total war was declared on every man jack in the continental United States? That is the question we should all ask ourselves, what is the real cost of yielding to criminals? The price may be higher than we ever imagined. The nation is in serious risk of uniting the entire world against it and that of course leads to complete devastation, the raising to the ground of the once most powerful nation on the planet. History may record the event as a moral failure – with power comes moral responsibility but that option has been ignored by the swine that feast in the trough of profits for the few but consequences for all!
The new world (dis)order has arrived, and it is not very pretty! It is the PUBLIC that allows idiots and criminals to openly lie and murder with impunity. And it will be the public who pays the price for their moral failure. Today’s population is a stark contrast with the recent past, few would believe it would have been possible.
