The term ‘self-hating Jew’ tends to be one used by supporters of the Israeli state to vilify Jewish anti-Zionists. There may be one or two idiots of Jewish birth stupid enough to join the ‘new’ pro-Israeli British National Party, where they exist as tokens to help Nick Griffin cloak his fascist politics. However, just how stupid, and how much of a scumbag would you have to be, to be a Jew and join an openly Hitlerite sect like the so-called ‘British People’s Party’?
Robin Steele, a Jew by birth, who has visited Israel, and in the past practiced the Jewish religion, was until recently a member of the Socialist Party. He also attempted to become involved in the militant antifascist organisation Antifa, attending a picket of the BPP’s ‘Mailbox’ accommodation address, which led to his photo appearing on ‘Redwatch’. He was assessed as a politically-confused and untrustworthy idiot though, and his membership application was turned down. His tendency to send out mass texts attempting to recruit people to petrol-bomb BNP meetings failed to persuade anyone that he was anything other than a security risk, if not an agent provocateur.
Clearly, Steele was more politically-confused even than had been thought, because before too long the silly boy wiped off the eye make-up he previously sported, shaved his head, and bought himself a pair of cherry red Doctor Martens, combats, and an MA-1 flight jacket. Unfortunately this was not merely a change of fashion, as Steele proceeded to cover his jacket in swastikas and other Nazi paraphernalia. He also contacted the BPP, and as this 3 idiots (some of us haven't forgotten Sid is back on board Eddy) and a dog outfit are extremely desperate for members, it didn’t take the mugs long to welcome their newfound chum into the ‘party’, and indeed, into their homes.
Eddy Morrison has long had a weakness for the company of young boys, and Robin Steele has spent a good deal of time with the ageing Nazi. Morrison even performed a rather amusing little dance, a video clip of which his apprentice has on his phone, along with other pics of the drunken BPP rabble. Some were taken after what the BPP refer to as their last ‘conference’, an event at which BPP ‘National Organiser’ Sid Williamson literally shat his pants, and at which Steele reckons he ‘spoke’. He also claims to have been appointed local ‘Youth Co-ordinator’, and has certainly been busy vandalising lampposts with fascist stickers, while boasting of his induction into the comedy-Nazi outfit ‘Combat 18’ by Kevin Watmough.
Steele has not only kept his Jewish identity secret from his new Nazi pals, he has also totally concealed his ‘Red’ past, which is why his photo still appears on the ‘Redwatch’ site.
While Indymedia readers will rightly be disgusted by the betrayal of his family’s good name by the sick little scumbag Steele, Eddy Morrison and the farcical BPP once again have egg running down their faces. Robin Steele’s Jewish blood may make him unacceptable to his would-be Nazi comrades (and his fascist politics should make him a pariah to everyone else), but he does have at least one other thing in common with some of them – He’s also an ACTIVE POLICE INFORMER (currently being ‘handled’ by Detective Inspector Wood of Pudsey CID.)
We have heard no less than 5 telephone conversations with Steele, one lasting over 30 minutes, in which he offers to provide information on antifascists and anarchists, (though he doesn’t actually HAVE any genuine information); the animal rights movement, with which he has also been peripherally involved; ‘right-wing extremists’, including his BPP/C18 ‘comrades’, and those attending BPP functions and conferences (who he offers to identify from photographs); Leeds social centre, ‘The Common Place’, (which he says is used to store weapons by ‘violent extremists’), and various squats which he says store guns for ‘anarchist-nihilists’! Audio files will be posted within the next 48 hours.
While Steel is stupid enough to be forthcoming to anyone ringing him up, his original motivation for turning informer appears to be the two explosives charges he is currently on bail for. With his days as a useful police asset now over, he should perhaps start worrying about these anew.

Unlike you and your young friend Eddy, some of us refuse to work as informers; to give information to the cops about our enemies, let alone our supposed comrades; we do not lie to them in order to get our political opponents arrested. Because, among other things, we regard this as fundamentally dishonourable.

I find it deeply offensive that he is pictured infront of a swastika, advocating its use, and theoretically sticking two fingers up at all those who have died at the hands of the nazis, not forgetting his jewish blood family.

I believe that, unlike yourself, most Indymedia readers do regard the struggle against fascism as relevant and important.
