On Saturday 17th March, Nottingham held 8th St Patrick's Day Parade. Setting out from the Forest Ground at noon, down the Mansfield Road, to the shinny new Market Square.
This was the first public event to take advantage of these new facilities.
I think much bigger than last year, with probably about 5000 attending, and a jolly time had by all ....

Nottingham's new 'Water Feature'
19.03.2007 11:54
When St Patrick's Day Parade entered the Square, many folks couldn't help but enjoy the novely of our shinny new water feature.
The aim started as trying to run under the water spouts, but as these continually raise and fall, and there was a bit of wind, all simply got very wet. Wardens and police looked on with various shades of disapproval on there faces. I didn't see them interfere though, except they told one chap off, for riding his bike through it!
