Transition Culture London- planning for a post-peak oil, sustainable world

a meeting will be held on Tuesday 27th March 7.30 at the London Action Resource Centre (see www.londonarc.org for details) to discuss creating a Transition Culture London group.
Transition Culture is an idea developed in Kinsale and now Totnes, concerned with creating an Energy Descent Plan for the transition to a post-fossil fuel, socially just future. But such a change requires an enormous re-skilling: organic growing, green building, direct democracy, community social space, renewable energy...the list is endless.
The only people who can bring this about are ourselves so lets get out there and start doing it!

The agenda for the night is as follows:

* A brief presentation of what Transition Culture is exactly?
* Who's doing it and how?
* How might a Direct Action Transition Culture group look and work?
* Will it be concerned with all, or just part of London?
* Could it begin straight away or might it require some awareness raising?
* Practicalities-website, email, contact number, working groups, finance, publicity etc etc
