MET police are to appeal!

News just in. The Metropolitan Police are to appeal in the High Court against a court case last year in favour of Critical Mass London.
If the police win it will mean that CM will have to have organisers, give advance notice of each ride, agree a route and be subject to any police conditions. This will mean the end of CM as we know it, after 12 wonderful years of monthly rides in London.

I'm just being tough on the crime and tough on the causes of crime.
Over half a million civillians have been killed and Iraq and Afghanistan at the hands of people JUST like Critical Mass. You have to admit that the tactics of CM and the Taliban are suspiciously similar. Both think I'm a lying shit! And I bet they've all been to Finsbury Park Mosque.
We, decent normal people, all deserve the right to live and to live in a world free from crime, and I am fully committed to tackling climate change by attacking people who ride bicycles in the name of Satan, just because they are jealous of our 4x4s and SUVs.
These plebs should jolly well use the privatised public transport system (running on fossil fuels) rather than subverting my pension plan by riding bicycles and asking people to take responsibility for their carbon footprints.
If we bow to these terrorists this once, the floodgates will open and we'll be held to ransom by people who war carfree zones, ecofuels, and rubbish like a centrally administered public transport system that causes no end of hell in contintal Europe. They'll be wanting trams next!
Besides, after my retirement I have a whole host of non-executive directorships lined up with US oil & arms concerns and I'm not letting a handful lippy peasants mess that up for me.
What have these eco-fascists got? Not even a future! I know, because me and my chums have made sure of that.
Love and prayers,
Tony
P.S. Studies prove that benzene and carbon-monoxide make you like longer. So get guzzling!
