Mugabe retires.
Goes back to his roots.
President Robert Mugabe decided to retire, today, after another attack by his riot police on the ungrateful people of Highfield, a township on the outskirts of Harare.
Zimbabwean riot police had arrested the country's top opposition leader, yet again, at a prayer vigil in a crackdown on protests against widespread starvation.
Witnesses said armed police clashed with and beat opposition supporters in the Harare township on Sunday.
Mugabe later said he has had enough.
“If my Shona people do not appreciate the prosperity and plenty I had brought them then they could try and find a better leader”, he said.
