Make a Film and Make a Difference!

NUFF Global is a grassroots side-project of the Nordic Youth Film Festival (NUFF) held each year in Tromsø, Norway.

The theme of NUFF Global this year is climate change and the project is divided into two separate competitions.
16 filmmakers from all over the world have already been selected in the film idea competition. They have received financial support to bring their film ideas to life and we anxiously await their cinematic contributions! Their progress can be followed up on www.nuffglobal.net!

The second category is the film competition. We encourage young filmmakers to create a film about climate change. How is climate change affecting you personally? How does it affect the environment around you? What can we do about it? NUFF Global believes that film can be used to make positive changes on our planet. It is a medium that can deliver a message on a broad scale, and when it comes to climate change, that is precisely what we need to do.
The deadline for the film competition is April 1, 2007. Films entered in this competition can have a maximum length of 15 minutes and must be produced between 2001 and the present. Directors must be between the ages of 18 and 30. A group of 10 to 20 films will be selected to be shown at the Nordic Youth Film Festival in Tromsø, Norway from June 1 – 10, 2007.

Filmmakers: get out your cameras and put climate change in focus!
