BBC article on casual police violence

An article on the BBC website ( http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/south_yorkshire/6429569.stm) talks about a recent incident where a woman, after being thrown out of a nightclub, was helddown by four cops and then punched repeatedly by one of them. It has footage of the action captured loyally by a carpark CCTV camera.

The South Yorkshire police force says it is happy with the way the incident was handled (presumably that means its normal to deal with people who won't come easy (--apparently the woman's struggling was also exacerbated by an epileptic fit--) by punching them "with all my strength" (words of the responsible police officer)....nice to see all that training being put to some good use.

Are killing themselves to make out the jolly policeman is right.The usual spoof emailers supporting the thug.The reporters:one saying can he talk to the girl and her saying when she takes her child in,then the commentator saying she doe'nt want to say much to us then.She is leaving the club and the assualt starts.Then we are told she damaged a car.Was the car at the top of the steps?She was under arrest at the bottom of them.And also that is a standard arrest proceedure.No it is not.They are trained in safe restraint.He is a violent thug and deserves to be with the rest of them .In prison>and if he is not charged then expect Sheffield to go the way of LA over Rodney King.

The defense is that "it dosen't look like she is being punched in the face".
What a load of nonsense. Two coppers on her legs , and one very brave and sad excuse for a man punching her full weight half a dozen times.
She is then dragged by two others , her trousers around her ankles with bare flesh on concrete , to the waiting van.
As she is being punched the two other coppers didn't even flinch.
Absolute wankers.
If they can do this to people in full view of other coppers then we have a very sad state of affairs.
The other two should have kicked the shit out of him , as it happens they did nowt.
The other coppers should make a complaint against the brave one , if not then we are really in trouble.
Police assault is now being seen as standard practice.
Are they above the law and above assault charges?
I think the time is nearly upon us when they are you know.
Its time to fight back against these wonderful public servants in as many ways as possible.

Durp....maybe she went back up the steps after damaging the car? She pleaded guilty in court to criminal damage, I dont think there is a car damaging conspiracy going on here.

Actually it is. Giving someone a dead arm is pretty safe, thats why he wasnt bashing her over the head.

I dont think people going around looting shops, dragging white people out of cars and beating them sensless is justified because a cop gave a drunk biting woman a dead arm. I dont think theres anything racial going on here.
