The set up.

"The British government has learned that Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa."

Bush said this in his State of the Union address in the January 2003 as one of his main excuses for his illegal attack on Iraq.

This fabricated info first started life in 2001 when Berlusconi’s men fabricated it and Berlusconi gave it to Bush just after 9/11 at a White House meeting.

It was on stolen and forged paper from the Niger embassy in Rome.

The CIA told Bush it was nonsense just after he got it from Berlusconi.

Nevertheless, at a meeting in Rome in December 2001, organized by elements of Cheney’s Department of Special Plans and attended by British intelligence (MI6), Israeli spy master Douglas Feith’s men (Michael Ledeen and Harold Rhode),an Israeli spy (Larry Franklin), the forgers from Italian intelligence (SISMI) and bank robber Ahmad Chalabi, it was decided to recycle the forged documents through British intelligence.

MI6 agreed.

They passed the resurrected forged documents onto Blair, telling him they were but he nevertheless agreed to let Bush use the name of the British Government in his State of the Union address in 2003.

Bush lyingly implied that this was new information, when in fact he and Blair fully knew--had to know--that the "evidence" in British hands was the same set of documents he had been offered by Berlusconi almost a year and a half earlier, which had been declared to be bogus.

Perhaps now that Libby has been convicted for his part in this grotesque crime, some editor will ask the obvious question: Why has Blair been allowed to get away with conspiring with Bush to dupe the British people and American people into war?
