Various meetings are being arranged for next week to discuss new legal developments for asylum seekers from the Congo. Plus the Scottish African and Carribean Network have organised meetings of some women activists from Zimbabwe in Glasgow on Tuesday and in Edinburgh on Wednesday. More details to follow.

At the same time, in a totally unrelated incident, a 40 year old man from Nepal poured petrol on himself and set himself on fire inside the Immigration Court in front of an Immigration Judge, lawyers and court staff. the man was rushed to the Royal Infirmary where he is said to be in a serious but stable condition.
