Professor John Tomlinson asks whether there is such thing as a global culture.

The Centre for Broadcasting and Journalism at Nottingham Trent University invites you to a lecture as part of the MA (Int’l) module Journalism at Work in the World entitled:

Globalization and Culture

To be presented by Prof John Tomlinson, Director: ICAn; Professor of Cultural Sociology at NTU

John Tomlinson is head of research in Communications, Media and Cultural Studies. His books include Cultural Imperialism (1991) and Globalization and Culture (1999). He's currently researching into the impact of cultural globalization in China and writing a book on the implications of speed and tempo in modern cultures.

It takes place at 11.30 on Monday 5th March in Room 103, 1st floor, York House, Mansfield Rd, city centre. Space restricted so come early to be sure of a place.
