The Campaign Against Prison Slavery is a group set up to try to expose the reality of prison labour, how little of it teaches skills that can be used after release and which could help reduce the chances of re-offending.

We also seek to expose the private companies that have contracts with prisons that are making huge profits using prisoner labour while the prisoners are paid pennies an hour, any loses incurred by the prison industries contracts are covered by the tax payer.

I spent 10 yrs in Wakefield

and refused to work.So did a good few others.In the end they put us all together in a workshop were we did not have to do anything but play cards.It was nicknamed the noddeyshop.But the only noddy's were those working like slaves for a pittance.We got the top wage.And got left alone.

Great site,
this industry takes its lead like most of our corporations from Uncle Sam.
In some US states the biggest lobby groups are the billion dollar prison industry, people who used to be farmers mainly find employment as prison gaurds, USA has largest prison population in the world.
It is run by groups like Wackenhut

Big Business makes billions imprisoning of ethnic groups & the poor,
whilst the Mr Bigs & their money laundering bankersy,plus the black op contra groups make half a trillion dollars going into the stock markets which would have fallen long ago, its almost as big as oil & arms.
Check ex LAPD Narcotics investigator Micheal Ruppert who was sacked for his whistleblowing & has worked to expose the CIA involvement in billion dollar drug deals allover the world,
