Maisha Yetu- collectivity and women's writing.

Chris Murray | 27.02.2007 19:15 | Gender

Maisha Yetu means - Our Lives in Swahili.
This is a link to a International Women in Media Foundation Project.
Some of us work in IMC/RFS/IWMF :- There are a lot of cross
pollinations in the women's writing movement.
Some collectives have charitable sponsors- which does not
detract from the veracity of a woman's story.*

The Maisha Yetu writing project changed health coverage in Africa
women in Botswana, Senegal and Kenya participated in the
project on tribal and birthing processes to write the attached
124page document [which is is in pdf format]

Hard copy is available from  swhite@iwmf.org

The pdf report is at:-

 http://wwww.iwmf.org/pdfs/WFOLfob2.pdf

Some resources for women writers are:
womyn's indymedia.
IWMF.
RSF.

Womyn's indymedia is always looking for feminist
outreach volunteers to develop tech and communication with
women campaigners.
