When Superpowers go Rogue

History records instances of powerful, belligerent nations invading and annexing weaker nations in their bid for world domination and plunder. Various pretexts are utilised to justify these attacks/invasions, the most familiar and infamous are the USS Liberty attack, the Tonkin Gulf incident and more recently the imaginary WMD 'threat'. These examples have one thing in common; they are all orchestrated in order to harness the public as a manageable resource to be used and abused by prevailing powers and to justify an otherwise illegal invasion or military aggression. Nations bent on world domination are extremely predictable; world domination is the folly of a powerful military and inept leadership – history is familiar with a multitude of conquering clowns known to us today as mass murderers.
Malevolent and destructive powers must deceive their respective populations in order to garner support for their unjustifiable pursuits – the people remain an indispensable resource required to perform the distasteful tasks that ruling elites are loath to perform themselves – you fight, we profit!
Today the world is faced with the neo-con, rogue USA. Under the rulership of the Bush regime America has become the most destructive nation of the 21st century. The neo-cons have stated openly that the use of nuclear weapons is optional! The civilised world needs no further proof that this administration is malevolent and destructive to the extreme; nevertheless, a litany of indictable offences and lies continue to incriminate this administration on a daily basis.
The neo-cons have proven themselves not only as grossly incompetent but also insane. Never before has a nation or military leader engaged in a third military intervention (on a State) following two failed campaigns. In order to diminish the folly and searing criticism of the two previous debacles (Afghanistan and Iraq) the third is likely to be a shock nuclear engagement. The subsequent destabilising effect of a nuclear attack would (it is hoped by neo-cons) diminish the effect of their previous failures. However, reality clearly indicates that only further chaos would follow such a horrendous attack.
Any nation attacked with nuclear weapons is under threat of annihilation and would respond with every desperate act and weapon in its arsenal – the lunacy of the America’s planned attack is evident to the world yet the world chooses not to intervene, a very familiar pattern!
If we do not learn from history we repeat it (until we finally learn). In the face of flagrant aggression from Nazi Germany other nations vacillated, stalled or otherwise buried their heads in the sand – denial! The result of course was horrendous. Failure to check the advances of aggressive powers in the early stages always results in catastrophe, as history amply records.
There are no mysteries involved in common sense or facing reality! Unilateral aggression in unable to withstand multilateral, unified opposition/resistance; only a modicum of courage and common sense are required to save the world from tragedy – no single nation is able to withstand the combined strength of a multi-national force that includes other nuclear superpowers.
The psychological profile of megalomaniacs from Hitler to the present group of neo-cons clearly indicates that these types are driven not by sound judgement but by irrational belief – some even believe they are chosen of ‘God’! These types NEVER stop of their own volition, history is consistent in this regard; the combined forces of all nations are required to stop military regimes hell-bent on world domination. A direct, decisive, unified multilateral intervention is required. The world must face current realities – the rogue MUST be stopped sooner rather than later, it has become an imperative.
Inaction in the face of nuclear war in simply not an option if the world is to avoid a future calamity.
