Animal Rights Coalition

Pat | 22.02.2007 22:32 | Animal Liberation

A national Animal Rights gathering is to be held in Nottingham, to promote cooperation and to spread information between the various groups and individuals working throughout the UK to stop animal abuse.

ARC meetings are a great opportunity to meet up with other activists from all over the country, to catch up on the latest news about the current campaigns, and to swap ideas, tactics, skills and information.

Everyone with an interest in a better deal for animal is welcome to the meeting to be hosted by Veggies at the Sumac Centre on Sunday 18th March.

Previous meetings have seen grass roots groups and individuals attending from (in alphabetical order) Birmingham, Bolton, Brighton, Burnley, Bury, Cheshire, Coventry, Essex, Halifax, Hull, Lancaster, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Milton Keynes, Northampton, Nottingham, Oxford, Plymouth, Redditch, Rochdale, Stockport, Stoke on Trent, Wakefield, Wolverhampton, and Worcestershire.

The meeting may feature reports and discussion relating to the ALFSG (Animal Liberation Front Supporters Group) and VPSG (Vegan Prisoners Support Group), CAFT (Coalition for the Abolish of the Fur Trade) and CAPS (Captive Animals Protection Society), the Coalition of Badger Action Groups and the HSA (Hunt Saboteurs Association), GATEWAY TO HELL (campaigning against transport of animals for vivisection), SPEAK and SHAC (Stop Huntingdon Animal Cruelty), REALFOOD and VEGGIES, promoting veganism, and more.
