The post here questioned why a piece which talked about a rise in anti-Semitic attacks was hidden. The question remans unanswered, instead to try and justify the hiding the excuse is made that the Jewish organisation who did the research and published the figures is "pro Israeli". Putting aside the fact that a charity run by Jews concerning Jewish issues is fairly likely to be a supporter of Israel (well Duh !) what difference does this make to the facts of a rise in anti-Semitic attacks in 2006.

The old story for Indymedia of trying to divert attention from the facts - A RISE IN ANTI-SEMITIC ATTACKS to a debate about the messenger.

A rise in racial attacks should be of concern to EVERY person. The fact that these attacks are against Jews and the reports were produced by a Jewish organisation should be irrelevant. Indymedia does itself no favours with this kind of editorial descion as it reinforced again and again the view held by an increasing number of people that Indymedia UK has a clear bias against Jews.

If the report has been produced by say an Irish Community Group and detailed attacks against the Irish would it have been hidden ? No of course not, indeed it would probably have been Promoted if it had been well written.

Let's remember the FACTS here:

A recognised charity produces a report showing a rise in race related hate crimes and Indymedia hides that report because the organisation who produced it lists the victims as Jewish - simply unacceptable.
