Roberto Malasi gets lenient sentence

Thug and rap gangster Roberto Malasi was sentenced to only 30 years today for the murders of two women.

On Thursday, he pleaded guilty to murdering Ruth Okechukwu in Walworth, south-east London, on 11 September.Malasi, from Peckham,said to be 17 but appears considerably older raided a christening party with his gang of cutthroats and murderers.Masked up Malasi and his mob entered the building blasting at random into the crowd just as the father of the child was making his speech.The childs mother Ms K alokoh was killed in the gunfire as she cradled her child.The jury in the trial concerningMs K alokoh was not told that two weeks after her murder on September 11 2005, the defendant dragged student teacher Ruth Okechukwu from a car and stabbed her through the heart.The judge said if he had been sentecing Malasi as an adult he would have given him a longer sentence.The judge accepted the lowlifes word he was not an adult.Defence for Malasi said he may have been affected from being a gun totin thug in Africa..

I'd like to correct the misleading impression given above

roberto malasi was in fact given 2 life sentences; one for each murder. The Judge has stipulated he serve a MINIMUM of 30 years, as his m'lud's prerogative . He also did NOT have a prior life in Africa as a 'gun-toting thug' but instead an upbringing of quite appalling deprivation and brutality, surrounded by civil war in angola and DR Congo. This does not excuse his terrible crimes, not in the slightest, and one cannot really disagree with the justice of the sentence; however, it does provide context.
