Art Exchange destruction

Fly Posters | 30.01.2007 16:17 | Free Spaces

The Art exchange on Radford Road is being torn down.

Noticed that the Art Exchange on Radford road is being destroyed, presumably by the company that has bought the Hyson Grn High-rise flats off the Council, but I am guessing here. firstly, to me The Art Exchange looks like a listed building, it was certainly an appealing building. does anyone have any experience in looking into this? secondly, who owned the building and authorised it's destruction? the council? can they be held to account?

the people resposible for this are a bunch of tossers

So yes the Arts council (lottery) and NDC (notorious for wasting our money) and paying themselves grandly are going to level the old listed building, and replace it wih this shite.

Partners and funding:
Arts Council England £2,908,700
East Midlands Development Agency (emda) £ 300,000
Greater Nottingham Partnership £ 534,000
European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) £ 266,000
New Deal Radford & Hyson Green £1,200,000
Nottingham City Council £ 300,000

Total investment £5,508,700

Any thoughts as to how that money could have been better spent in Radford/Hyson Grn?
