Happy Days In Brecon Beacons

The tree camp site in Brecon is gaining a LOT of local support. It's in a beautiful setting, and is quite sheltered!

There are several tents, a kitchen, a storage area, a loo, a tunnel for shelter on those windier night. The tree houses are starting to go up too, but we need more wood ( PLEASE!!!! ).

The protest camp is up in the trees in ancient woodland 4 miles west of Brecon on the A40 close to Bettws Penpont church.It is located at Ordnance Survey national grid reference SN9728728525.

The ancient woodland is scheduled for decimation by National Grid to clear a path for the 48" high pressure gas pipeline. The protesters aim to stop the destruction of yet more ancient woodland by National Grid and it's contractors.

There are over 15 people on site at the moment and they are requesting any donations. Please send supplies of all sorts, food, water, warm clothes and bedding, camping and cooking gear, wood, rope, nails, etc etc etc. They would also like any people interested to join them and show solidarity in this battle to save our environment.

Directions - Ask a Policmen?

Once when seeking a Commune that had moved twice, I asked a Policman for direcrions, He told me, but I didn't half get a rollicking from one member for asking the Fuzz. Just a grid reference would be so useful.

Welsh Andy my arse, you are not Welsh, or if you are, you are a disgrace to our people.

These people are there to protect the land, 'hiraeth' as they say in Wales, as when the land has been destroyed the people follow. The soul of the land and its people are intertwined and inseperable.

I wish them all the very best, these are people of courage in an era of terrible destruction to the environment which they wish to stop. They are not ignorant scum like you.

May God bless them, these people are safeguarding the future of this planet. As Nae Bevan said 'if you tolerate this, then your children will be next'.

Welsh Andy, I have seen your other postings. I am man enough to admit when I am wrong, please accept my sincere apologies for my earlier posting, I thought you were abusing these people who are safeguarding our future and the future of Wales, I realise now that you support them.
