pipeline footpath protest stopped and started

the footpath blocked by activists and locals for 3 weeks was illegally blocked off by national grid, and work begun again.
this was pointed out to the police, and work has now been stopped again!

apparantly there were not many people left at the trebanos site, as many had gone off to the new camp near breacon, or elsewhere. this meant that the national grid bullies were able to overwhelm the protest (no reported opposition).
this morning, a troop of fresh-faces arrived to start the protest up again. they were ionitially stopped by police, but then the illegality of national grid's position was pointed out and so work had to stop again.
the issue is not clear to me, but it is to do with a 7 day notice to having been given to locals about the closure of the footpath. so we don't know how much more time is available. one thing is clear, the national grid will not abide by the law, and the police (on their side of course...... and most likely in their pocket) won't uphold the law unless we insist they do.
this is a crucial time for this protest, we need extra support all the time, as our numbers have been stretched, and there seems to be no end of hired goons available to bully and intimidate locals and protesters alike.
not to worry though, this a peaceful situation, and is likely to continue to be as we are very much in the local public eye.
