Why Will he Not allow gay couples adopt?

The damage done to children by the Catholic church
need not be gone over again. The fact that this story
leads the Guardian is apposite.

The essential thing is this- Gay couples should adopt
and Priests should not hold governments over barrels.

Is the Pope a catholic??

How long must we witness the bigotry of a church which
refuses to countenance the idea of women priests.

The Catholic adoption agencies will not allow gay couples
to apply for adoption and would rather opt out-
which begs the question- how did they get in?

In some countries, which are still coming to terms
with the abuse legact of Catholicism- be it the homes
that women were sent to and separated forever from their children
or the death of young girls in churchyards because of the social
stigma of early pregnancy- adoption was a business and babies
were worth money to the church run homes.

Tony Blair- it appears is 'sympathetic' to the stance of the
Catholics. His wife is afterall one. His ally in illegal war
has the faith of a lion (that way he sleeps at night)
yet not on of those three people has the balls to
excorcise the Pope from the political systems in their
country. Many countries have suffered from the interference
of this church in their politics- and people are drawn into the
sickly charisms of their leaders.

Do the UK Kollectives think that it is alright for the catholic
church to interefere in the political life of emergent and established
democracies?

Ask Archbishop Romero (you cannot, he was murdered, ask Lorca

..he represents a well established doctrine that has the disapproval of homosexuality as one of its core beliefs…

Besides, this whole debate is a farce. How many gays actually want to use Catholic adoption agencies in the first place...?

More importantly, do you think that it is alright for today’s politicians to interfere in the long held beliefs of established religions?

What if government passed a legislation making all medically unnecessary circumcisions for children illegal in the UK? And how about making the refusals of blood transfusions based on religious grounds illegal? Some religions refuse to have their children vaccinated against diseases, should that be outlawed too?
