The Citizen's Information Project, another nail in the coffin of freedom.

Not exactly non-violent direct action but, tell TB what you think of his latest mad and bad idea

 http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/STOP-THE-CIP

It reads...

"We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to Scrap the proposed Citizens' Information Project.

The proposed Citizens' Information Project is a database of everyone's personal details that the Prime Minister wants to create under this new scheme.

When you give personal information to an official in future you'll lose all control over it, forever. You won't know who gets to see it, and you won't know what use it's being put to next.

The government's name for this is Transformational Government, sounds nice, until you realize what’s being transformed isn’t government, but its power over you.

The Citizen's Information Project is another nail in the coffin of freedom."

I understand that Liberty is against this Governement Proposal, and might wish to circulate the existance of this petition to the membership.
