BAE-Saudi Scandal Cover-up Not Over Yet

The head of the working group on bribery at the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development, the world's leading anti-bribery watchdog, has demanded that the government explain why it ordered the Serious Fraud Office to abandon a two-year inquiry into alleged corruption involved in BAE Systems' £40bn defence deal with Saudi Arabia.

Lord Goldsmith had said that both Mr Blair and Defence Secretary Des Browne had argued that carrying on the investigation would "harm intelligence and diplomatic co-operation with Saudi Arabia", which in turn would "damage the UK's national security."!!
