The First Notts Windfarm

04.01.2007 22:30

Go, go, go...

We must all fight for renewable, clean and sustainable electrical generation and this is a typical good example that will use farm land, helping the planet while supporting a local farmer.

This could be the first wind farm in Notts so good luck and shame on any councillors who vote against the application.

Electro Magnetics and stuff

I can't not support this, however, more longer term I do think we should listen to the reasons why some oppose this.

EMP (Electromagnetic Pulse) the power is generated through a giant alternator which kicks out an EMP which means anyone who lives in the vacinity cannot listen to the radio, radio is very important in remote and rural areas.

Some would argue that in some areas of natural beauty they are a blot on the landscape.

I know both are a small price to pay for the catastrophe's that will come from global warming, but can't they all be situated out at sea?
