Sir Ian Blair, the Metropolitan Police commissioner, today told the press that he considers Al Qaeda to be even greater than Hitlers Nazis in terms of threat to civilian life. Although Sir Ian admitted that he had no intelligence, relating to a specific attack, he warning of possible outrages this Christmas saying that the threat was "unparalled and growing".

According to Sir Ian Blair, neither the IRA nor the Russians during the Cold War were willing to take civilian life to the same degree as al-Qa'eda.

With somewhat selective memory he spoke of IRA tactics during 'the Troubles', claiming that they had not wanted to cause mass atrocities and gave warnings - neither claim stands up to any scrutiny. He also admitted that during their terror campaigns the IRA were "heavily penetrated" by British intelligence agents but claimed that was not the case with the Al Qa'eda and its affiliates.

While the Nazis had the V2 rockets falling on London and apparently rounded up and murdered six million queers, poles, blacks, cripples and jews, Sir Ian insisted that our much hyped box cutter terrorist posse a greater threat than the Hitlers finest. While happy to spew out comparisons to the Second World War, Sir Ian made no mention of Churchill and his atrocities against civilians, such as the saturation fire-bombing raids of Dresden, a city without military significance.

Finally, after attempting to invoke the spirit of the blitz he threw in an apology for the raid in Forest Gate, east London, in which an innocent man was shot, and also predicted that he'd be cleared by the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) investigation into any wrong doing in the shooting of yet another innocent, Brazilian Jean Charles de Menezes.

Between the 9/11 truth movements claims that Al Qaeda doesn't even exist and the organs of the state hyping them up as the best thing in terror since vlad the impaler, Al Qaeda themselves must be suffering quite an identity crisis.
